Join us as graduate in WTG Mechanical which is responsible for offering mechanical specialist services concerning blades, hubs and nacelles as well as towers and davit cranes. The department contributes throughout our value chain from qualification of wind turbines suppliers over wind farm development and construction to service and maintenance. WTG Mechanical is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. About the graduate programme As a graduate, you complete a 24­month programme in which you will participate in a training programme along with the rest of the graduate batch 2015. During the training programme, you will participate in six graduate courses. Our graduate programme is considered the first step in our high­potential developing programmes. You will develop yourself both personally and professionally, and your ability to be project­oriented and analytical as well as your problem­solving skills will be strengthened. As part of your daily assignments, you will have the opportunity to rotate within different departments in the business area. You will have the possibility of influencing your assignments to match your qualifications and interests. Furthermore, the programme will give you a strong network among the rest of the graduates in the organisation. Your tasks and responsibilities You will be involved in several on­going projects and ad hoc tasks where your main responsibilities are to: - assist in the coordination of testing, installation and commissioning of wind turbines and davit cranes onshore and offshore - follow up on any needed retrofits - be responsible for reporting to project management and stakeholders - build an understanding of offshore installation and maintenance - use the above understanding in rotations to other departments involved in the same area of technologies, such as transition piece design or development of davit cranes. Your profile You have recently graduated with a master's degree within mechanical engineering and have delivered excellent results. Preferably, you have experience with wind turbines or offshore structures. You have a maximum of 12 months of relevant professional experience, and you are fluent in spoken and written English. As you will be joining a dynamic company with ambitious goals and targets, it is important that you are able to adapt yourself to an ever­changing working environment.
