About the department The Pharma Law Team is a dynamic, international team comprising of 10 attorneys and based in Novo Nordisk’s new headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark. It is part of Novo Nordisk’s Global Legal organisation which employs more than 100 lawyers at more than 20 locations throughout the world. We work closely with the business and provide legal and compliance advice across the whole value chain of Novo Nordisk’s global portfolio of products covering a broad range of areas including non-clinical and clinical development, device development, pilot production, product registration and approval, manufacturing, marketing, medical affairs, and product safety. The job We are able to offer you a challenging and exciting position as a Legal Intern in a high-performing and energetic team. In your role, you will support the Senior Corporate Counsel who advise on Novo Nordisk’s global clinical activities with their day-to-day legal and compliance tasks. You will assist them with driving complex projects, designing training and presentations, conducting legal research and other tasks related to a variety of legal disciplines, including clinical trial legislation, regulatory law, business ethics and compliance, and data privacy. You will also be assigned a legal project which you will have the independent responsibility to manage and complete during the course of your internship. The primary work place will be in Bagsværd, Denmark. The working language is English, and most assignments will have an international aspect. Qualifications We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, detail focussed, passionate with excellent communication skills. You are currently studying a Master’s Degree in law or other relevant area. General knowledge of contracts law principles (US, UK and Denmark are preferred), legal research and drafting skills are essential. Familiarity with IT systems (in particular excel, PowerPoint and Word) and a willingness to undertake tasks in new unknown areas of law, is required. You will be organized and detail-oriented and take a structured approach to your work. Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of healthcare law, data privacy, and clinical and/or regulatory areas would be an advantage but is not a requirement. Fluency in both oral and written English is required, Danish language skills are not a prerequisite. You should have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously (with supervision), work effectively in international settings; possess sound personal judgment and excellent interpersonal skills as you will be working with colleagues of varying nationalities and cultural backgrounds from around the world. Finally, you have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning and ownership of your own tasks. Practicalities Qualification: Students in their first or second year of their Master studies (Master of law preferred). Period: The internship position is a full-time position for 6 months.
