If so, this could be your opportunity to become Naval Architect in Maersk Drilling, where you will work with state-of-the art equipment, have wide responsibility and get to know the industry inside out. We Offer You will be part of the new building group in the Technical Organisation of Maersk Drilling. We are right now building new drilling units in Singapore and Korea, in addition to developing next generation of new units. The job is related to the new-building of jack-up’s in Singapore and Korea. The rigs are the world largest jack-up’s and all have a contract to Norway. Our strategy is to continue expanding our fleet of highly sophisticated drilling units. We are a small design team situated in Denmark (Lyngby) with a dedicated site team in Singapore. We also support our operation with modifications of new units and interfaces to oil installations offshore. You will have contact to yards, vendors, consultants, oil companies, authorities as well as Maersk Drilling worldwide. You will anticipate a highly dynamic and professional environment, and you can foresee a job with great variation and opportunities for personal and professional development. You will undoubtedly build an immense international surface of contact, and you should anticipate between 30-60 travel days to destinations all around the world, such as our facilities in Norway, UK, Singapore, Korea and the USA. Key Responsibilities You will drive and participate in the development of structures as well as marine and safety related issues for new-buildings. Also you will be implementing our client requested upgrade projects. As such, you will contribute to describing systems in a clear and concise way enabling our suppliers to deliver on the detailed requirements. In detail, you will contribute to: • Defining the scope for work for structural and marine activities within the projects • Perform design/documentation approval where working environment is an important issue • Participate in client and vendor follow-up Overall, you will focus on ensuring that the design meets the contractual requirements and complies with the regulations and standards for the area, which requires that you keep yourself updated on rules and regulations. We will make sure to provide you with necessary knowledge in relevant areas, including insight into the drilling systems and other equipment. Who we are looking for The right candidate: • Holds a degree as Structural Engineer or Naval Architect, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience from consulting engineering, shipyard, the offshore or a related industry. Candidates with longer experience are of interest, as well. • Has a strong focus on delivering quality and meeting deadlines in your work plus a focus on structure and details. • Enjoys working independently as well as being part of a team. • Is fluent in English and ideally have a basic knowledge of Danish.
