ID 2015-2613 Job Location Denmark-Roskilde Category Field Application Engineer Posted Date 6/25/2015 Job Length Full-Time More information about this job: Overview: Mellanox Technologies is looking for an experienced Application Engineer with strong Signal Integrity High Speed Digital Board Design Experience as well as system level capabilities. The Application Engineer will work closely with R&D, marketing, FAE/system engineering group and our customers and will provide in depth and comprehensive system level support to enable successful evaluation and implementation of Mellanox Interconnect technology products with our customers. Responsibilities: Job Function: •Lead and support the Pre-sale effort, demonstrate the advantages of our new 100Gbps Optical Cables and transceivers, including Proof of concept and doing Demo’s at the customer site and at Mellanox sites •Train our local Field engineers around different territories globally and keep close contact with customers, field and sales people. •Support the deployment of our cables and Interconnect solutions at end customer Data centers. Provide technical support through FAEs and directly to overcome any technical issues during installation bring up and later on. •Lead complex escalations with customers, build and lead engineering task force, build debug strategies and lead them to execution, while communicating to customer. •Provide constructive feedback to engineering and marketing regarding product requirements, customer experience, documentation and tools •Develop product documentation including application notes, test reports, product evaluation kits and other collaterals to support sales/marketing of advanced IC products (chip sets). Qualifications: The position involves the ability to solve complex multidisciplinary issues with specific focus on high speed digital board design as well as profound analog knowledge. Practical capability to write and use scripts and test programs and when required manage escalations with multiple engineering groups, and facing customer. •B.Sc. Electrical Engineering •Knowledge and experience with High Speed Digital Board Design •Handling of electronic laboratory equipment: Oscilloscopes, Spectrum analyzers etc. •Knowledge and understanding of electro-magnetic waves theory and distributed systems •Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills •High level English communication skills •Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work directly with customers •Positive mind, result oriented and hard working •Advantage – Past Experience with Optical Cables design and/or support •Advantage – Past experience with Linux, Perl/Python scripting, and Firmware coding •Advantage – Knowledge and experience on Networking
