Production Engineer GN Otometrics Taastrup - Denmark Published: June 11, 2014 Can you develop our production processes and ensure a strong focus on cost, delivery performance and on ensuring that all processes live up to the regulatory standards for medical devices? The Job: As part of Global Operations, GN Otometrics is looking for an internationally experienced Production Engineer. You will be reporting to the manager of Production Engineering. The Key Tasks of the Production Engineer are: .Develop/optimize manufacturing, test and calibration processes for (outsourced/local) production of audiology equipment .Develop KPIs and prepare data for the Global Operations Management to have transparency into production cost and performance of processes .Prepare business cases and data for the budget process .Manage/participate in LEAN cost and process optimization projects .Manage/participate in Global operations workshops and projects As part of the Production Engineering team, you will be working closely together with the Supply Chain, Production, Purchasing, R&D and Quality department and you will be the direct link to our suppliers in Asia and Europe. The position involves some traveling to production sites in Asia and Europe, amounting to approximately 30-50 traveling days a year. The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate has a relevant Master's degree in Manufacturing and preferably an 'HD' and some management/senior project management experience combined with 5-10 years of practical experience with Electronics, Audiology and Lean manufacturing preferably from a larger international company producing in regulated enviroment (pharma, medical devices or the like). Fluent verbal and written business communications skills in English are a must, as well as mastering MS Office and ERP systems (preferably Axapta).
