Description DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Prepare monthly payroll for final approval by the Team leader HR Administration and Payroll • Administer the required payroll input processes, including the updating of reoccurring and non-reoccurring monthly pay requirements to the monthly deadlines. • Appropriately process and quality control for integrity the monthly starters, leavers and employee data change file interfaces. • Appropriately process and quality control for integrity the monthly time and absence file interfaces. • Manage any exceptional/off cycle payroll processing situations with the payroll systems vendor. • Own and update on an ongoing basis the Service Agreement Handbook for NOV’s requirements with the payroll systems vendor and ensure that the payroll systems vendor is processing the payroll correctly in accordance with NOV’s requirements and those outlined in the Service Agreement Handbook. • Control salary related payments for hourly waged and salaried employees (b/c and w/c) in cooperation HR • Respond to all employee pay (slip) related queries, liaising with the payroll systems vendor designated contact points as required to resolve any queries. • Balance payroll postings, including holiday • Active participation in payroll system processes and related interface projects. • Establish internal working procedures • Timekeeper and 1st point of contact for employee inquiries regarding KRONOS • Handles all carry over of holidays and all issues in regard to floating holidays • Provide sick leave and absence statistics to managers • Balance holiday forms (ACF) • Handle all issues in regard to leave, in particular maternity, paternity and parental leave. This includes dialogue with the employee in regard to expected birth date, leave for example and all re-imbursements connected to leave, sickness and education • Including the terms and conditions of all local/collective agreements relating to payroll, maintaining the appropriate internal control documentation. • Provide ongoing payroll vendor feedback on service and setup to the Team Leader – HR Administration, to input into the regular Payroll vendor service review meetings which inform any service scope and contractual change requests. • Fulfil any payroll reporting or data requests from internal or internal stakeholders using the standard and ad hoc reporting tools made available from the payroll vendor. • Liaise with appropriate internal/external support teams on any required technical or handling issues which are impacting the accurate processing. • Ensure appropriate internal audit and compliance controls are in place and being adhered to. • Travel as and when required • Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager Qualifications SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Strategic · Has and uses the required functional and technical knowledge and skills to do job at a high level of accomplishment · Adept at exercising good judgement (sometimes with incomplete information) whilst being constrained by tight deadlines Operating · Able to apportion time effectively to complete tasks · Can Orchestrate multiple activities and resources to accomplish a goal Energy · Performs work with energy and drive while exploring other opportunities to contribute Organisational · Communicates effectively, both inside and outside the organisation, on both simple and complex topics · Writes clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles Personal and Interpersonal · Firm and diplomatic when negotiating · Imbued with a strong sense of customer focus (internal/external) Quality Essential Qualifications: · No formal qualifications required Experience: · Working knowledge of Payroll within a Payroll/HR Department Skills, training or special knowledge · Computer litera
