About the department The department of pharmacokinetics focus on animal models for pharmacokinetic studies that investigate how new potential drug candidates is absorbed, distributed and eliminated in the body. The purpose of these studies is to improve the pharmacokinetic properties of our molecules that may lead to improved treatment options for patients with haemophilia and diabetic complications. The department currently comprises four scientists, two laboratory technicians and one Ph.D. student and is located in modern research facilities in Global Research, Måløv, Denmark. The position We are looking for a dedicated and team-oriented laboratory technician for a permanent position in the department. Your focus area will primarily be pharmacokinetics studies in rodents, which you, in close collaboration with scientists and other laboratory technicians will be responsible for planning and execution. This involves high expertise in dosing through several different routes of administration (iv, sc, po etc) and blood sampling from many different anatomical regions of the animal, which is critical for the quality of the study. Furthermore, the position involves blood sample preparation, logistics and planning for bioanalysis, basic data analysis and may also include occasional microsurgery to investigate e.g. drug clearance pathways. The position involves continuous improvement of our procedures and animal models to accommodate the 3R principles (Replace, Reduce and Refine). Qualifications You have a background as Laboratory Technician (or similar) with specialisation within animal model research. Furthermore, you have several years of experience within dosing and blood sampling from rodents, and basic understanding of drug pharmacokinetics.
