We Offer Maersk Oil has its Corporate Offices at Esplanaden in Copenhagen and the Legal department supports all aspects of Maersk Oil’s international business. As a student assistant in Legal, you will be offered a rare opportunity to work with challenging legal assignments in a highly international legal department. You will be part of a Legal team of 15 lawyers and paralegals and 2 student assistants, all of whom work closely with the business and local legal departments in our worldwide areas of operation. You will be invited to participate in relevant training and workshops to develop your skills. We also value social events and good collegial relations, and you will be part of the larger student assistant community within A.P. Moller - Maersk. As we want you to be able to complete your studies on time, your working hours will be 15-20 hours per week, with flexibility to work less during exam periods and more during semester breaks. Key Responsibilities You will get to assist with a wide range of legal tasks, across many different jurisdictions and diverse fields of law, including: •Compliance matters, due diligence, and investigations with respect to anti-corruption, export control and competition law •Review, negotiation and drafting of a multitude of different terms, agreements, amendments and other instruments (confidentiality agreements, supply contracts, leases, etc.) •Legal research and analysis, and drafting of legal memoranda •Understanding, weighing and communicating legal liability and risks to colleagues in other departments. Who we are looking for We are looking for a candidate who is: •Able to speak, read and write English fluently •Academically talented •Analytical and good at keeping focus on complex issues •Able to handle and prioritize many tasks at the same time •Commercially-minded •Team-oriented •Independent and willing to take individual responsibility for your tasks •Expecting to graduate from law school within 1,5 - 3 years.
