- Legal - Denmark - Bagsværd We are looking for a lawyer who can further develop our legal assistance within the area of contract law to our globally expanding Corporate Procurement function. The position is a temporary position for a 12 months term. The term might be extended. About the department The Legal Governance team is located in Novo Nordisk’s headquarters and is comprised of 8 lawyers. We provide legal advice within a broad range of areas including company law, corporate governance, securities law, banking/financing, IT contracts, employment law, and procurement. We are also responsible for compliance matters such as competition law, export controls, personal data protection and business ethics, for contract management processes, and for offshoring of legal services to India. The department is part of Novo Nordisk’s Global Legal organisation which employs more than 120 lawyers at more than 25 locations throughout the world. The job The primary responsibilities will be to provide legal support to and further develop our legal assistance within the area of contract law to our globally expanding Corporate Procurement function. The tasks include negotiating and approving company-wide supply, outsourcing and other contracts; drafting and maintaining standard agreement templates and general conditions; assuring implementation of legal, quality and compliance requirements in contracts and business processes as well as conducting training sessions and creating materials and resources for contracting operations. In handling the specific tasks, you will interact with key stakeholders within Novo Nordisk both in Denmark and abroad, as well as external counsels and partners. You will work closely together with and have independent responsibility for advising specific departments in Novo Nordisk with a large degree of empowerment. In addition various opportunities, both in Denmark and abroad, offer potential for further personal development. As part of the Global Legal organisation, you would also be involved with cross-functional Global Legal projects. Qualifications You have a Master’s degree in law from Denmark - or a degree in law from abroad combined with insight to Danish law. You have 3-5 years of working experience from a law firm or company. You are probably admitted to the bar. Good business understanding is important. You should have strong communication skills in English (verbal and written), be organized and detail-oriented and take a structured approach to your work. You should be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively in international settings. You have familiarity with IT systems.
