Do you want to be part of a well engineering team challenged with evolving and sustaining the technical foundation and support for Well Construction in a time of challenges and changes? Join us and become Lead Drilling Engineer in Well Construction which is responsible for planning, executing and reporting all well activities within DONG Energy Exploration & Production's footprint. In the Well Engineering team, we define, develop and enforce the governance structure, standards and procedures for Exploration & Production's drilling and completion activities as well as perform engineering support for various well engineering projects, acquisitions, peer reviews, etc. Well Construction is a part of Exploration & Production which has 700 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We explore for and produce oil and natural gas. Today, our activities are centred in the seas off Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom, and we have an ambitious growth strategy with many exciting projects in the pipeline. You will be based at our Danish office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Lead Drilling Engineer, it is your responsibility to maintain and evolve all Well Construction technical standards, procedures, processes and guidelines in cooperation with the Well Engineering Manager. Moreover, you assist all internal stakeholders as required in evaluations of new business opportunities, cost estimation and all technical well related issues. You also participate in technical reviews and perform quality assurance of well delivery projects to ensure technical compliance and excellence. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •perform annual reviews of Well Construction standards •assist in establishing updated well costing procedures in alignment with stakeholders •participate in special engineering projects and provide ad-hoc engineering support •assist in tender related tasks; providing technical input and perform evaluations •provide technical assistance and support to challenging and problematic wells, as required. Your profile You have an engineering degree and extensive experience from the offshore drilling industry, preferably as Drilling Engineer with an operator. We are looking for a candidate that is both versatile and flexible due to the very dynamic nature of Exploration & Production's Well Construction department and the industry in general.
