We are looking for a Manager within R&D and Laboratory (R&D and LAB) in Corporate Procurement with top-tier credentials to help drive category management, business development and optimization of the external spend in Novo Nordisk globally. We are 130 employees in Corporate Procurement and together with the global organisation, we manage the total external spend of DKK 25 billion. We do this by building strategies and executing improvement projects to optimise the global spend related to, e.g., R&D activities, marketing services, travel, professional advisory services and IT. To do this we collaborate with senior stakeholders at Senior Vice President level and their teams across the organisation. We work fact-based, are dedicated to collaborative problem solving and take active leadership for the initiatives we are involved in. Corporate Procurement is anchored with direct report to the CFO. The job As Manager for R&D and LAB you will be heading up a high performing and dedicated team of 6 category managers (senior/junior) in Corporate Procurement. You will drive the global and local strategic category management programme for the R&D and LAB categories with an approximate global spend on 4 bDKK. This includes being responsible for improvement projects, preferred suppliers overviews, contract development, supplier negotiation, supplier evaluation and dispute resolution. You will work closely with the CVP of corporate procurement. Key success criteria will be your ability to effectively manage and satisfy business needs for key stakeholders throughout R&D and LAB categories, and all aspects requires your ability to communicate effectively and clearly when collaborating across the global organisation. Excellent business understanding within category management as well as R&D and LAB categories will be crucial for your success. You will reach out to peer companies and suppliers to find business development opportunities, plan how to realise business opportunities and support a successful initiation of the implementation process. Qualifications You have completed a Master's Degree (e.g. in economics, business administration, engineering or supply chain management) with a top 15% GPA. You have 5-8 years of experience from working with procurement, strategy or business development in a leading organisation or as a management consultant from a top tier consultancy. You take leadership naturally and have high professional expectations for you and your colleagues. You have worked internationally, you communicate clearly and concise and you are comfortable in giving presentations to senior management. Finally, you work fluently in English.
