Postdoc position in Veterinary Bacteriology and Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus in Pigs

We are seeking a post doc to join the Section for Bacteriology and Pathology at the National Veterinary Institute at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU-Vet) on the topic: Control of Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in pig production. Responsibilities and tasks The post doc project is part of a new and high-profiled initiative to combat MRSA in pig production. The aims of the post doc project are to investigate the presence of MRSA on pig farms, and in particular to develop and test intervention strategies to reduce or eradicate MRSA from animals and farm environment. The project is carried out as a research based consultancy service to authorities, and is carried out in close collaboration with authorities, industry, and other partners. Qualifications Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent. A university degree in veterinary medicine, biology, or similar is required. Knowledge of pig production and farm management is essential and experience in microbiology is an asset.
